What Niro does

We build a deterministic semantic code graph - a precise, live model of a codebase spanning code, commits, and logs. Integrated via MCP, it gives AI coding agents the ground truth they need to do real work: accurate context, deep root cause analysis, and real-time code review without hallucination. Where other tools approximate, Niro reasons.

We are building the reasoning layer for AI-augmented engineering - the foundation every serious coding agent will depend on.

The role

You will be our first developer-facing hire. Your job is to make engineers trust Niro, become fans of using it, and talk about it in their communities. You own the full loop: discovery, onboarding, first value moment, and the active feedback that makes the product better. DevRel and developer experience are not two jobs here, they are one.

What you will own

• Create content engineers actually want - walkthroughs, CLI demos, incident RCA examples, short-form videos.
• Get Niro in front of the right people - Hacker News, engineering communities, MCP and AI agent ecosystems, conferences. You understand where your ICP spends time and show up there authentically.
• Own the onboarding experience - you feel every step of friction a new developer hits, and you fix it. Better docs, clearer examples, faster time to value.
• Speak at engineering conferences and local meetups, be out, be active. The talk is usually about the problem, not the product.
• Build the feedback loop - you become the voice. What is confusing, what is missing, what made someone leave before their first aha moment.

Who you are

• A developer who has shipped real code. Comfortable with APIs, MCP integrations, and enough frontend to build a compelling demo from scratch. Your skills have evolved toward communication and content.
• A builder. When you see friction in the MCP setup, you fix the docs, write the example, record the walkthrough.
• A content producer who knows how to make a demo video under three minutes and undeniable. You have used tools like HyperFrames and Loom. You use AI coding agents daily and know how to show others what is possible.
• Self-directed. Early-stage, no playbook, you figure it out.
• Genuinely excited about AI tooling - not because it is trendy, but because you use these tools daily and believe they fundamentally change how engineers work.

• A marketing writer who makes technical things sound impressive.
• Someone who needs the product to be perfect before they can talk about it.
• A community manager whose job is scheduling posts.
• Someone who waits to be told what to do next.

Compensation

Market rate plus meaningful early equity. You work directly with a world-class CTO.
